Funeral services for Bernice Smith Lee, 89, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Croley Chapel in Gilmer with Brother Jack Hoffpauir and Brother Larry Lansdale officiating. Interment will be in the Cherokee Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Lee passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 in a Gilmer nursing home. Mrs. Lee was born April 9, 1923, in Texarkana, Arkansas to Thomas and Mamie Buzbee Smith. She was a homemaker, had lived in Gilmer for 65 years and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Maria Eldridge of Daingerfield; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Clyde Davidson of Gilmer; sisters, Margie Meadows, Helen Winters, Louise Hackett, Viola Cornett, Jeannie Baumgarden, Idabel Gideon and Martha Roberts; grandchildren, Patricia, Kristi, Angela and Malisa. Pallbearers will be Shane Harrell, David Keller, Jesus Baca, Jason Davidson, Dillon Clark, Kollin Keller, Dennis Hackett and Kenneth Cornett. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
