Bernice Lee Stracener

Funeral service for Mr. Bernice Lee Stracener, age 84, of Gilmer, TX will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Charles Johnson and Rev. Bob Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, TX. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 PM. Mr. Stracener passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Gilmer, TX.
Bernice was born in Gilmer on November 16, 1934 to the late Ovie and Ida (Kinel) Stracener. Mr. Stracener retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he was an equipment operator for 20 years and was the owner of Demiran Production Co, he also worked for Gil-Tex Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Stracener of Gilmer; daughter, Kay Stracener of Gilmer; two grandchildren, D.D. McCaskill and her husband, Mike, and Randale Quinn; and numerous great grandchildren.
Bernice is preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Stracener; two brothers; and one sister.
