Barbara Beatrice "Wells" Morrison

Funeral services for Barbara Beatrice "Wells" Morrison, 85, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church of Big Sandy with Reverend Gary Hayes officiating. Interment will be in the Turner Cemetery in Wood County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Morrison passed way Monday, November 11, 2013 in a Tyler hospice. Mrs. Morrison was born on July 26, 1928, in Wood County to J.H. and Melvina Whitehead Turner. Due to the early death of her mother Mrs. Morrison was raised by her aunt, Ola Whitehead Turner. She was a retired cafeteria worker having worked for Hawkins ISD and Big Sandy ISD; she was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Big Sandy. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Myra and Edwin "Freck" Haire of Hawkins and Debra and Jimmy Johnston of Big Sandy; brother, Mike Turner of Houston; step-son and wife, Bill and Peggy LaForce and family of Big Sandy; step-daughter, Martha Goolsby of Big Sandy; grandchildren, Kim Hubacek and family, Leigh Ann West and family, Brian Haire and family and Patsy Stephens and family. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her parents, brother Olean Shields; sister, Dorothy Smith. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Big Sandy.
