Barbara Ann Moyer

Gilmer -- Services for Barbara Ann Moyer, 88, of Gilmer, will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 10 A.M. at the Sand Hill Church of Christ with David Cotham officiating. Burial will be in the Moyer Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Born on March 14, 1926, in Oakland, California, Barbara died on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist. Barbara was an active member of the Master Gardeners Cooperatives both in Texas and California. She served as a Gregg County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer. Throughout her life she was creative, artistic, vital, active, and ecumenical. Cherishing her memory are her two sons, Clifford Moyer and Christopher Moyer; two daughters, Sue Ann Moyer and Laura Bledsoe, and sister, Dorothy McCurdy; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a nephew. Barbara was the daughter of Roland Clifford Cass and Ora Viola Bates Cass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Edwin Moyer. No visitation is scheduled.
