Funeral services for Mr. Bain Nugent, 81, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Reverend Clay Potter and Reverend Leo Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Nugent passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Gilmer. Bain Nugent was born on September 5, 1932, in Upshur County to Henry Clay and Lizzie Mae Farmer Nugent. On February 7, 1952, he married Bobbie Sue Seale in Gilmer and they were residents of Upshur County. Mr. Nugent retired from Lone Star Steel after 41 years as an electrician. He was a cattleman and rancher and a member of Concord Baptist Church. Mr. Nugent is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Sue Nugent of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Wenona Nugent of Gilmer, Gary and Donna Nugent of Gilmer, Kenny and Kim Nugent of Pittsburg; brother, Doyle Glen Nugent of Pittsburg; sisters, Sue Waller and Heloise Lay both of Gilmer; 11 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jake Nugent, Brandon Nugent, Scott Nugent, Brandon Rogers, Wesley Dorsett, Andy Jordan, Rex Manley, Eric Wilson and Chris Styles. Honorary Pallbearers are J. W. Griffin, Pete Taylor, Ralph Hefner, Bill Cranford, Brian Smith, Bill Loftis, Don Tucker, Phillip Quinn and James Roberts. The family will receive friends on Friday, September, 27, 2013, 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
