Audrey Mae Bassham

Funeral services for Audrey Mae Basham, 84, of Gilmer, will be 3 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Basham passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, in a Gilmer hospital. Mrs. Basham was born May 25, 1925, in Miami, Texas, to Ollie and Lula Cooper Lyons. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith and Fellowship Sunday School Class of the First United Methodist Church in Gilmer. She was survived by her husband, David Basham of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Noel Hardeman of Leesburg; grandchildren, Steve Hardeman and his wife Claudia, Kristy Hemmingsen and her husband Troy, and Clint Hardeman and his wife Dr. Dia Hardeman; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Basham is preceded in death by her son, Frederick Wayne Basham. Pallbearers will be Jim Pinto, Bill Taylor, Gary Smith, Norman Hastings, Wayne Arnold and Gary Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Faith and Fellowship Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., today, April 21, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
