Arthur Henry Lange

Funeral services for Arthur Henry Lange, 80, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Cherokee Baptist Church in Upshur County with Bro. Madison Caffey and Bro. Paul Chandler officiating. Interment will be in the Cherokee Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Lange passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at a Gilmer nursing home. Mr. Lange was born April 20, 1936 in Gilmer to Perry Aubrey and Florence E. Rose Lange. He was a self-employed stone mason, veteran of the United States Army and Navy and a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lange of Gilmer; sons, Richard Allen Lange, Arthur Henry Lange, Jr., Mitchell Paul Lange and Larry Waller; daughters, Sherry Knabenshue, Tina Lange and Diane Yazell; sisters, Agnus Hix, Annie Lou Copeland, Alice Chandler and Joyce Lange Walker; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. Mr. Lange was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Pallbearers will be Justin Hankins, Perry Haney, Bobby Massoletti, David Boren, Freddie Sanders and Jeremy Keith. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
