Arnold Leon Evans

GILMER- Funeral services for Arnold Leon Evans, 88, of Longview will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Plunk officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mr. Evans passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 in Longview. He was born on May 10, 1927 in Gilmer, Texas to Vernon Leon and Flossie Lorene Jones Evans. Mr. Evans served in the United States Navy during WWII, Korean conflict, and the Vietnam War and retired after twenty-one years of service. After his military career he later retired as a manager for Proctor and Gamble. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann Long of Gilmer; numerous grandchildren including, Teresa Marie Long, Timothy Long, Thomas Long, Erik Kjorsvik, Johnnie Herrera and wife, Candace, Eddie Huerta and wife, Amanda, and numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelynn Evans; daughters, Annette Lee Evans and Veda Lorene Henry.
