Anthony Michael "Tony" Melton

Services for Tony Melton, 25, of Gilmer will be held 3:00 P.M, Thursday, April 28, 2011, at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview, Texas with Reverend Todd Kaunitz and Reverend Roger Tarver officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Tony passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011 in Gilmer. He was born March 11, 1986, in Mt. Pleasant to Michael and Dian Rash Melton. Tony graduated from Gilmer High School in 2004, received an associates degree from Kilgore College. He was an intern youth minister at New Beginnings Baptist Church, worked as a server at Chili"s in Longview; and was the co-owner of Porta-Party. Tony is survived by his parents, Mike and Dian Melton of Gilmer; sister, Amanda Melton of Gilmer; aunts; Debbie Rash of Gilmer, Nancy Hendrix and her husband, Buddy of Gilmer, Patty Hughes and her husband, Dana Chris of Florida; uncles, Jerry Melton of Gilmer, Larry Melton and his wife, Laci of Longview ; numerous cousins and his buddy, Rocket. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson and Dena Rash, Leon and Lynn Melton and uncle, David Rash all of Gilmer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at New Beginnings Baptist Church.
