Services for Angela Kay McWhorter, 47 of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M, Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. McWhorter passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Gilmer. Angela was born on January 6, 1965, in Gilmer to Obie Keith Davis and Clara Nell Steelman Davis. She was a lifetime resident of Upshur County, a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Methodist Church. Angela is survived by her husband, Sam McWhorter of Gilmer; mother, Clara Nell Davis of Gilmer; son, Samuel Keith McWhorter of Port Arthur; daughters; April West and her husband, Gabriel of Conroe, Ashlyn Kay McWhorter of Gilmer; brother, Terry Davis and his wife, Layona of Gilmer; sister Gail Mullinix and her husband, Ray of Gilmer; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Nathan West. Pallbearers are Gabriel West, David McWhorter, John Henry Haley, Tom McWhorter, Brian Yordy, Chris Yordy and Parker McWhorter. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
