Alice McKinley Reavis

Alice McKinley Reavis, 86, passed away at home on June 7, 2022, in Longview, TX.

Alice Reavis was born on June 3, 1936 here in Gilmer, to Clyde Horace McKinley and Virda Lee Simpson McKinley.

Alice graduated from Gilmer High School in 1954 and went on to work as a cashier for a few different organizations. She retired from Walmart after many faithful years of service.

Alice truly enjoyed sitting out on the patio with her family and looking at the vibrant springtime colors. She also loved reading, playing her Mahjong game and doing crossword puzzles.

Alice is survived by her daughters Cathy (Ricky) Martin, of Garrison, and Dorothy (David) Khan; her son John Reavis Jr., and her sisters Peggy Lange, Sarah Hartgraves, and Ann Barnes, as well as 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Virda McKinley, her sons Joseph Anders and Ronald Anders, her brothers James McKinley, Horace McKinley, and Robert McKinley, and her sister Loretta Kelly.

Graveside services for Alice Reavis will be held on Friday, June 10th, at 1:00 PM at Cherokee Cemetery with burial following services.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday the 9th at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
