Graveside services for Alice Hazel Cox, 90, of Big Sandy will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy with Bro. Sonny Parsons officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Cox passed away Friday, January 9, 2015. Mrs. Cox was born June 17, 1924 in Jonesville, Louisiana to George and Mary Brown Cockerham. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She is survived by her son, Virgil Cox of Fordyce, Arkansas; daughters, Donna Lading and Cleda Owen both of Big Sandy; brother, Ronald Cockerham of Jonesville, Louisiana; sister, Neva Ford of Jonesville, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband Steve Cox and three grandchildren. No formal visitation is scheduled.
