Aaron Ray Brown, 73, of Hawkins, TX passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Sunday January 31, 2021. Aaron Brown was born on December 19, 1947 in Winnsboro, TX to the late Elwood Brown and Novelle Sellers Little. He graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1966 and received his Associates Degree from Tyler Junior College. Mr. Brown proudly served his country for eight years in the Air Force. As a skilled electrician, Aaron retired from Exxon Mobil in 2003. After retirement, he started and ran a successful lawn business for many years that kept him busy.
Aaron celebrated 52 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart Vickie Denton Brown. Vickie and Aaron were true partners in life. Aaron was a loving husband and told everyone that his family was his world. He was the proud daddy of Wendy Burns and Renee Fannin. While raising their family, Aaron spent his free time volunteering and helping coach his daughters in softball. He made sure all players arrived at the game. He was affectionately known as “Dugout Dad”. Aaron was always quick to lend a hand and make a friend.
He is survived by his devoted wife Vickie Brown; daughters and sons-in-law Wendy and Teddy Burns; Renee and Bryce Fannin and 5 grandchildren, Braden Northcutt, Bryce Burns, Walker Fannin, Landen Burns and Harper Fannin. His grandchildren brought him never ending joy and he was always quick to praise their accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood Brown and Novelle Little, step-father Roy Little and Brother Bob Krantz.
Aaron was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkins, TX.
Services for Aaron Ray Brown are: Visitation will be on Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Hawkins Cemetery.
